Who are the Algoons?
The Algoons will tell you to be wary of the authors of history. The tales they pass from offspring to offspring vary vastly from their Asurian counterparts. The Algoons claim it was them who established the first link to the elements. Through the ancient ritual of 'Catching Flame', the devouring of fire sprites, the Algoons gained access to an assortment of flame spells, embodying the entire essence of the element. Comparatively, the Asurians were primitive, using flame for such simple tasks as iron working and cooking. Bewildered and amazed, the Asurians plotted and connived to steal this power for themselves, thus, the first Algoon-Asurian war was ignited, and through their heated hatred and animosity, an everlasting feud between the two species was forged.
